I've been working for startups for the last decade. Most companies Statups I've worked for have policies against toxicity. A big reason is because they don't want to get sued.

A good company culture tries to weed out a-holes.

But I did quit the last company I worked for because they hired a toxic CTO. So things do fall in the cracks.
